History’s reversals
History often reverses perspectives. Adolf Hitler was revered and saluted by thousands and thought to be a great leader. No more. History has revealed him to be one of the most notable mass murderers that ever lived.
Abraham Lincoln was a river boat worker, rail splitter, and plain man. History now reveres a great president who risk all and paid with his life for his godly belief that all humans are of equal worth and deserve to live free.
History does not always get it right. But we have a record that’s accurate. God sees our behavior, and more importantly knows our motivation. I’m thankful for that, usually.
Committing to His son, Jesus, who forgives and forgets our sins, means we can trust His love. Clean records are possible. Forgiven, cleansed records are His gift.
