Broken boats

Our pastor is teaching through Acts and I’m gaining new insights.  In Acts 27, Pastor Jones pointed out that the dashed pieces of the ship Paul was sailing on provided the planks for non swimmers to float safely to shore.

What encouragement for those of us in the middle of devastating loss.  Pieces of this wreck will be our strength in the future.

Alone now, I’m finding that to be true.  Now I have time to bless widows in Africa with tailoring skills.  Time and travel freedoms are planks I float into new missions.  And the result of a loss I did not choose.

What about you, my friend?  I’m sorry for your loss.  But might there be provisions you can grasp with new perspective?

God specializes in using unexpected events to bring us to good places.
