Widows ministry in churches
I recently read a great article by Thom Rainer outlining 7 reasons your church should have a widows ministry. I was thrilled! I have been working tirelessly for 8 years attempting a wake up call to believers of God’s mandate in James 1: 27.
Few churches have such a ministry. As I approach staff, they are stretched thin by existing programs. We provide all the tools to start a group. We have many around the country, most started by a widow who decided to reach out to other widows in their time of need using our books and teaching series.
I challenge you to approach leadership with the accompanying offer to help them. Outcome: widows will be blessed and God will be smiling
