Water skiing
Fish swim, birds fly, and we humanoids water ski. We’ve all imagined swimming under water like a fish and even wear gear to become as fish like as possible. Hand gliding and parasailing feel a bit like flying, but not really.
Waterskiing a few days ago I experienced, what I think is the closest thing to both. Skimming fast, skis a bit air born leaving the wake, feeling the spray and wind in ones face, I thanked God I’m a humanoid and could experience a touch of swimming and flying–kind of–at the same time.
That experience, makes me marvel at God’s creation and imagine what it would have been like to see through his eyes his fifth and sixth day of creating all living things. He knew we humans would love water skiing.
