Veteran’s Day
AsVeteran’s Day approaches I’m especially remembering our Viet Nam vets who wereneither admired or welcomed home well after their time in that terriblewar. I had classmates there who returnedhome safely. I have friends who stillbear visible scars on their bodies. Manyhad night mares. Some still do. Little was then known of post traumaticstress disorder though many suffered from it.
Regardlessof our thoughts on these conflicts, we can all unite to say two words to anyveteran we know. “Thank You.” Those words do much to heal the soul. We might even add three more words. “God bless you.” And then pray for God to show us if there’sis any other action that would bless them.
