Tax time
This month we get serious about getting our tax stuff together. Being single I’m fully responsible and I don’t enjoy sorting the necessary stacks. But I’m choosing a positive, learning perspective. Tax documents reveal accurately our values.
Jesus said render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and to God, what is God’s. The line for income speaks of my work ethic. It also speaks to the kind of work I chose, given God’s unique creation of each of us, and our opportunities.
Lines for charitable giving demonstrate what I value. I care for vulnerable, helpless children and adults in their time of need. The total reveals how important that is compared to my income. You might say tax time is revelation time.
