Poll watching
Why has poll watching become such a national past time? Election season. We have the American speed syndrome and can’t wait till election time for the decision. We must know now. Like instant meals and mail, we have no tolerance for… time.
Problem is, the track record of polls is pretty lousy. They’ve been wrong in more previous political races than we care to admit. Pollsters don’t brag of their errors.
Some things haven’t changed. Jesus followers wanted him to make his move quickly to be the reigning King of their people. Over throw the Romans, the bad guys and get on with a life they would love. Jesus had a different plan.
Patience is a rare and blessed characteristic. So is peace regardless of the unknowns in politics.
