Loving God in prosperity and poverty
I’m Miriam Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about moneyM ALL of God’s gifts to us are good. Do you find that hard to embrace when your resources are limited, in fact you are living in poverty? Proverbs 15: 16 Better is a little with the fear of the Lord, than great treasure and turmoil with it.
V One lesson of having little is the necessity of shrinking not just our wants but our needs. The Apostle Paul was content even when he was hungry: Philippians 4: 11. Given that he was in prison, he was often hungry. Another lesson is appreciating each dollar, paid bill as a blessing, not a right.
M When resources grow again, we have learned to be frugal, wise, and thankful.
