Leap Year
February 29 only occurs every four years. Its an added day needed to keep our modern day Gregorian Calendar aligned with the earths revolutions around the sun. Does it matter? If we did not have this extra day, after 100 years, our calendar would be off by 24 days.
I’m underwhelmed by these facts. This day does remind me is that every day is God’s gift. His great desire is that we rejoice and be glad in this day. Marking our calendar will not change the path God has set for the earth’s revolutions. How we invest this day shows God that we acknowledge that not only did He set the path of the earth, but that this earth and everything in it, including ourselves, belong to Him.
