Jesus’ teaching and confidential
Everymoment Jesus was teaching. His actions, his words, he was on display to his trusted inner circle and crowds ofthousands.
Considerthat he sometimes pointed out people and used them as an example: like the poor widow who gave two coins. Hisdisciples saw her and no doubt would never forget her. Other times he used parables: like the prodigal son and his brother. No doubt he could have named names fromprecise families where that story played out, instead of using a parable.
Parablesteach, but do not identify. A teachabletool to be sure.
Jesuscould make it personal and point to a person, like Zacchaeus. Or use parables. And then there were his actions. Perhaps those shouted louder than either.
