God’s Will
Daily challenges often have us asking, ‘What is God’s will in this matter?’ I pleaded with God for direction as a new believer at age 21 and do still today decades later. Are you needing to know His will today? It has been said that 95% of God’s will for you is the kind of person you are. Yes, decisions are important. But our obedience, imitating Christ, being compassionate, bold and yet humble–the kind of person we are–matters.
I Thessalonians 2: 13 states that the word of God is at work in us. That word ‘work’ implies ‘supernatural.’ In other words we CAN be the kind of person God desires. Determining and acting on direction in our lives is important. But so is the kind of person we are becoming.
