God’s Recovery Program

Loss is simply a part of living.  Sometimes losses can be recovered, but not always.  I Samuel 30 is a wise read that describes God’s recovery program.  David and his people had suffered the loss of their families and all they owned.  All was stolen.  He wanted it back.  Wisely David did three things.  He listened to the unlikely–a throw away person the thieves had left to die.
He asked God’s direction which assured Him He was doing the right thing.
After his success, he shared what He recovered.

While in this life, there are no promises of fairness or recovery, certainly if we pursue that, doing so with these three guidelines will be a God honoring process.  Listen intently, ask God for guidance, and if successful, be generous.
