En Gedi

Are the edges of your soul curling today with weariness?  We all have those days.  Tasks on my list are repetitious, not fun.  Mundane budgets, care of living space and vehicle, the drain of a stressful relationship.  I long to be in En Gedi.  In Scripture David named a secluded watered place En Gedi.  A place of peace, he closed in tightly with God  and was refreshed.

Our friends named their hospitable lake house En Gedi,  I’ve rested there.  But that’s not often possible.  Heaven will be En Gedi.  We’’ll be in Jesus presence continually.  But how do I experience En Gedi right now?  By getting close to Jesus thanking Him that I can pay bill, trim bushes, write the next assignment, lean on him for relationship wisdom.   Jesus is my touch of En Gedi today.
