Dust settling # 4

I’m encouraging each of us to devour I Corinthians 13 and act with that love in a new place.  Jesus shows us many examples of reaching those others ignore, even despise.  A tax collector, the woman at the well, children, disabled, others taken advantage of.  Start small.  Visiting those in prison, a cup of cold water, a listening session.  Generosity to meet needs: living requirements, justice, just caring.

Each of us has a circle of touch or influence.  What would happen if each of us immersed ourselves in verse 7 ‘always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.’ That’s how love looks and acts.

Today shows that a quick swipe at a problem solves nothing.  Our countries wounds and sins are too deep.  Perseverance, my friend.  Loves doors are open and desperately needed today.
