Do It Afraid!
God gives peace and comfort. We know that. But we read of His people suffering, escaping dangerous places in the dead of night, being imprisoned, beaten. Their life reality surely had their hearts pounding in some moments with fear.
Rarely in our country are we persecuted for our faith. But many places, today, 2012, believers are in justified fear for their outward commitment to Jesus and belief in our God who created each of us.
Why? Because their greatest fear is REVERENCE. Fear defined by reverence for the one they love, cherish, and obey no matter the cost.
I’m challenged to live more boldly.
Do It Afraid is a good motto. We’re not promised a smooth ride in life and ministry. But reverencial fear brings a comfort of its own.
