Conversations and confusion # 2

Hot rhetoric is pulsing through news airwaves, print, and internet dialogue.  The issues are important for Christians to address. Politics, racism, immigration.  Are we not challenged to be salt and light?  We are tempted to be silent rather than branded prejudiced and worse.  Romans 12:3 reminds us to be humble, not think of ourselves more highly than we ought.  Our human nature wants to puff up and think we are the high road.  Wait, God is, and He says  “Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”  Colossians 4:6.

Grace reminds us we are only able to speak because of our Lord.  We only have a message worth sharing, because of his work.
