An orphan’s heart
Scripture often refers to widow’s and orphans together. Our organization, Widow Connection, gets that. When we empower widows as God directs us to, we bless orphans, change their lives by empowering their moms.
What does every orphan need and wish for? Every orphan wants to learn, live safely and free. Each needs a meal and a seat in a classroom.
Biblically, extended family should help when they can. That may not be enough, and they may not desire to. What then? Any organization can’t address all issues. Widows drop their children off at orphanages. Their heart breaks, but it may be the only way their child will be fed. Orphanages can be dismal, even corrupt fronts for donations. Or places of blessing.
Research carefully, and do what you can.
